چکیده
Abstract Celosia ( argentea ), is an important tropical vegetable for households in sub-Saharan Africa. Despite the multifaceted usefulness, available genotypes are low-yielding, and faces dangers of genetic erosion due to poor research attention. The magnitude pattern variability will guide choice breeding methods improvement. Twenty-one celosia accessions were evaluated 2018 2019 determine study heterotic patterns among clusters. Accessions clusters differed significantly p ≤0.05/0.01) plant height, number leaves/plant, stem weight, harvest index dry matter content. Genotypic coefficients variation; ranging from 37.89 0.12, lower than phenotypic variation which ranged 114.55 both leaves/plant respectively, indicating importance environment variability. Discriminant analysis indicated low (8.12%) classification error rate, possibility Principal component (PC) controlled 73% observed identified all measured traits as contributors with loadings 0.30 (in PC 1) 0.63 2) weight respectively. Useful levels association also traits. concluded that there was sufficient effective selection. principal analyses content major accessions. Weight edible parts can be simultaneously improved height leaves/plants.

Study of Genetic Diversity of Wild and Regenerated Accessions of Acorus calamus (Acoraceae) by ISSR Markers
Sweet flag (Acorus calamus) is a perennial, semi-aquatic and aromatic plant of the family Acoraceae that, in addition to its multiple medicinal properties, is used in health, food and agricultural industries (as pest control). This research was conducted to comparasion study of genetic diversity of natural and regenerated plants from tissue culture of Arzefon, Pelesk and Alandan populations of ...
متن کاملAnalysis of genetic diversity between and within Iranian accessions of spinach (Spinacia oleraceae) by SRAP markers
Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) is an economically important leafy vegetable crop in many countries. This is the first case study of using SRAP markers to analyze genetic diversity of Iranian spinach accessions. Eight SRAP primer combinations generated 88 scorable bands ranging from 50 to 1000 bp, among which 73 were polymorphic, with an average of 82.9 polymorphic bands per primer combination a...
متن کاملDescription and Analysis of Genetic Diversity among Squash Accessions
In this work, the part of the squash core collection, maintained in the Greek Gene Bank, was assessed using the morphological and molecular data. Sixteen incompletely classified accessions of the squash were characterized along with an evaluation of their resistance against two isolates of Fusarium oxysporum. A molecular analysis using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers was also pe...
متن کاملAssessment of Genetic Diversity between Different Accessions of Calotropis Procera with ISSR Molecular Markers
The present study was performed to classify and study genetic diversity between Calotropis procera accessions from different regions of Kerman province (Iran) using ISSR markers. In total, DNA from 14 plant samples with nine ISSR primers was amplified by PCR and their banding pattern was obtained. The primers showed acceptable polymorphism (35.93) and minimum and maximum polymorphic information...
